Corporate Reporting (CR)
All of our CR tuition options teach the essential brought forward Professional Level content as well as the frequently examined advanced areas (financial instruments, hedging, deferred tax and groups). Tuition is extremely exam focused and once a technical subject has been taught, we will develop your exam technique by teaching you exactly how to read, interpret and analyse the exam paper, before showing you how to structure and type your answer for each of the three CR questions. The three CR questions are very different from one another so we have devised the optimal exam strategy for each. The exam techniques you will be taught are those which enabled your tutor to win several prestigious ICAEW prizes and this tuition approach has resulted in several of our students also winning prizes.
I have previously had training for CR from a big name tuition provider. Their tutoring style really wasn't for me. I was left unclear on key components of answer techniques such as: answer structure, mark allocation, question order / simultaneous answers, calculations and maybe most importantly presentation of answers. Kieran helped me with all the above and I preferred his approach significantly to my previous provider. His approach helped me pass CR. I got 82. Can't wait to put that on my hinge profile and hopefully the likes will come rolling in. Thanks Kieran.

To get you through your CR exam, we offer:
CR Live Course
Our live CR course comprises five weekend classes. Prior to each class, you will watch a video which explains the key technical concepts in a simplified way, before demonstrating the optimal exam technique by working through recent past exam questions. During the live class, Kieran will work through other recent exam questions to teach you the most effective way to read, analyse and work through the exam paper; how to allocate your time to each part of the question; the key things to look out for in exam questions; how and when to use your open book notes; and most importantly, the specific technique you should use when generating points and typing your answer in the exam. We will also have an entire class dedicated to the Advance Information and questions which require use of the data analytics software. You will have the opportunity to ask or type questions throughout each live class.
The live tuition classes are entirely exam focused and Kieran will work exclusively with past paper questions from recent exams to ensure that you get up to the required standard as soon as possible. Our unrivalled student success is very much due to the fact that our tuition predominately focuses on exam technique.
Our CR Master Plan categorises all the past exam questions by topic, so that after each class you can go and practice your newly acquired exam technique skills on similar questions and watch your marks drastically improve (hopefully you will join our growing list of prize winners!)
You will also be coached on how to study effectively, how to structure your revision and be guided as to what you need to do to pass the Advanced Level exams with top marks.
The classes are structured as follows:
Assets, Leases, Financial Instruments and Hedging (FR and Audit Risks and Procedures)
Share-Based Payments, Pensions and Tax (FR and Audit Risks and Procedures)
Group Accounting and Group Auditing
Groups, Other Audit Questions, Financial Statement Analysis and Ethics
Data Analytics Software Questions and Advance Information Analysis
In advance of the course, you will be provided with access to our FAR and AA revision classes which cover the essential brought forward content from Professional Level. You will also be provided with access to our CR video classes (see below). This enables class time to focus on exam technique.
The total cost of the course is £780.
The course includes:
- Access to our FAR and AA video classes as most need a refresher on the brought forward content.
- Access to our CR video classes which are used as a preparatory and revision resource (see below).
- Open Book Notes for use in the exam (see below).
- Our CR Master Plan: a detailed step-by-step study plan (see below).
- Our AI analysis document (see below).
Please contact us here for availability and course dates.
Tuition is held online. Online tuition operates in exactly the same way as face-to-face tuition. Our online classroom uses video conferencing (Zoom), virtual whiteboards and electronic study materials. Many students prefer online tuition as they feel more comfortable asking questions using the chat function and because it saves travel costs and time. Classes are recorded so that you can watch each class as many times as you need before your exam.
CR Video Course
Our prize-winning Senior ACA Tutor Kieran Doe has recorded a CR video course. Each class focuses on a frequently examined topic and teaches the key technical concepts in a simplified way before demonstrating the optimal exam technique by working through recent past exam questions in full. You will be taught the most efficient way to read, interpret and analyse the exam paper and most importantly, the specific technique you should use when generating points and typing your answer in the exam. This includes advice on how to allocate your time to each part of the question and how to make effective use of the open book notes.
Having understood the technical content and how you should be approaching a particular type of CR exam question, you can then go and attempt similar past exam questions to put these prize-winning exam technique skills to the test and watch your marks drastically improve - hopefully you will join our growing list of prize winners! Our CR Master Plan (see below) categorises all the past exam questions by topic to make it easy for you to practice similar questions after each class. This enables you to conquer CR by mastering one area at a time.
The course is structured so that it covers each examinable area and each type of CR exam question. As there is a substantial amount of assumed knowledge for most CR topics, we have included our FAR and AA tutorials as part of the course. We suggest that you watch the classes in the order set out below. However, if you are already comfortable on a particular topic then you may want to skip the Professional Level revision class.
