ALPINE CANADA ALPIN [ACA]
CANADIAN MASTERS NATIONAL ALPINE PROGRAM
The Canadian Masters Alpine Program offers a recreational opportunity to female and male racers from the ages of 18 to 85+ to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle in friendly competition with fellow racers across Canada. Whether you are former competitor, a new racer or an intermediate skier, our program will definitely enhance your skiing abilities as well as providing you with an enjoyable social life.
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS – 2007-2008
- 25 races across Canada including 1 DH, 6 SG, 11 GS, 7 SL
- 2 racer spots for each female and male age groups to make the Canadian Masters Alpine Team [CMAT]
- Both National and World Cup points scoring and new National points age category listings
- Opportunity to race on the Olympic runs at Nakiska as well as the new Nancy Greene International Race Center at Sun Peaks
- New SG events at Georgian Peaks, Collingwood and La Reserve, Quebec
- International FIS Masters Cup at Mount Norquay, Banff in March 2008
ELIGIBILITY
- Open to Canadian female and male racers aged 18 years and over as of December 31, 2007.
- FIS Masters ski length recommendations do not apply to either the Canadian Masters series events or the Norquay FIS-MC 2008 International event
MEMBERSHIP
- REGIONAL – Racers may participate in one weekend event in their province of residence with a Regional card with the exception of the Canadian Masters National Championships, the Ontario Championships or FIS Masters events. Racers will not be listed on the National data base and points list but will receive WC points
- NATIONAL – Racers may participate in the entire schedule of National races across Canada which includes registration on the National data base and points list as well as the WC point list. This card also enables racers to participate in the USSA Masters series.
- FIS MASTERS – Racers require a current FIS Masters Competitor number to participate in International Masters FIS events in Canada, USA and other countries. This card includes registration on the National data base and points list, the WC points list as well as the FIS Masters data base and points list.
SUBSCRIPTION
- All participants must be a Master member of an ACA affiliated club or a member of any other National Ski Organization [NSO].
- Memberships may be obtained from affiliated Ski Clubs or directly from their Provincial Sports Organization {PSO}….refer to PSO links or contact your provincial Masters representative.
